About Me

I'm a weirdo. An Autistic weirdo.

But Autism isn't bad. If you learn to use it to your advantage, you can achieve great things, because you think outside the box. It can be a superpower if you learn how to use it correctly.

I've been interested in construction since I was a kid. I used to draw insanely detailed drawings with electrical, HVAC, plumbing & semi-detailed structures at the age of 8, just barely as I was even learning to speak. I did have trouble speaking at first, but after a lot of effort and speech therapy, I was finally able to overcome it, and now I feel like I have English down pretty well, even though it's still a little hard for me to process English as someone speaks, it sometimes takes me a minute to comprehend what you just said.

I had quite an interesting school life, as I went to high school for about 3 months, and decided it wasn't for me, and pursued a GED instead, getting a diploma 2 years earlier than my class did. In my spare time between college for Architectural Engineering (decided it wasn't for me), I liked to be at home playing Cities: Skylines & drawing structures on SketchUp. I've made some pretty awesome house & shop designs. When I was younger, I also liked to build small structures in my sandbox & grade out a nice driveway for them. Definitely suits my job today, it's playing in a big sandbox!

In April of 2020, I met my amazing now-fiancee, and she is definitely the best decision I've made to date. I know I can always count on her, regardless of my swinging mood shifts. In all, we met on Tinder shortly after COVID-19 took the world by storm. I swear, we are the only 2 people on there who were actually looking for a real relationship, no wonder we bond together like glue! It's crazy how well you can get along with someone when you find the right person to be with. It just feels, right.

In August of 2021, I heard my fiancee's old neighbor was starting a construction company. He gave my to-be brother-in-law a job, as one of the early employees.
That was my in, I finally had someone I knew inside construction, which is something I've always wanted to do. I never had a chance or an "insider contact" that could help me get in, but now I did, thanks to meeting my wonderful wife-to-be. Well, after pestering my now-boss for about 2 weeks, he finally decided to schedule a meeting with me, and I've been here almost a year now, as one of the early-on guys, and look forward to all the fun in construction that I have always wanted to be apart of, and now finally have a chance to do all the stuff I've always wanted to be involved in. I've grown so much as a person since I started this job, and it shows!
